The Core of my Business
At the heart of my business lies a deep commitment to philanthropy. As a business owner, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact in my community.
Through active engagement in charitable endeavors, I have the privilege of giving back to those in need and contributing towards building a better future for all. It's not simply about the financial contribution, but also about ensuring that the funds are utilized in ways that have a meaningful and lasting impact.
My ultimate goal has always been to leverage the resources at my disposal, including any profits generated by the business, to support worthwhile causes locally and beyond.
Philanthropy has been an integral part of my company from its inception because I strongly believe in giving back and catalyzing positive change through acts of kindness.
The Prosperity Foundation
As the Executive Director for The Prosperity Foundation, I oversee the grant program which allows advocating for funding for small nonprofit organizations that are Black-led and serve Black Communities in the state of Connecticut.
I have created two Scholarship Funds at the Foundation to help aspiring students receive funding in the areas of mortuary science and business management.
I’m proud to say that with strategic partners, both funds were fully endowed within 3 years of inception.
Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church - Hartford, CT
As the Pastor at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church - Hartford, CT, our members have volunteered with various organizations over the years—from donating time at homeless shelters to working with local schools throughout our community.
All of these efforts ensure that we can continue making a real difference in people’s lives.
